Wedding Cake Separators
Updated: Apr 6, 2021
A unique cake separator made from crystal beads.
A collaborative effort by clients to include part of the crystal beads used in their custom made bunga telur into the wedding cake. Instead of mixing the beads among sugar flowers, an alternative is a cake separator.
I drew a rough sketch*. The correct sized styrofoams are passed to clients. The flower beads are handwoven and and attached to the styrofoams by clients, and then passed back to me. Such a long process, worthy of a blog post. The thoughtfulness and efforts of the bride's family is rare in today's fast-paced world.
*Sketches are done for original designs. Early bookings are required. The real cake will always look better than the sketches. 😊
The exclusive looking bunga telur.
The stage of the smaller banquet hall in Tower Regency.
The all white pelamin, flanked by two red bunga telur bouquets.
I like the placement of the cake table at the bottom of the stage.
Congratulations Athirah and Yazid.
