A Destination Wedding @ Bala's Holiday Chalet, Cameron Highlands

A destination wedding up in Cameron Highlands known for tea growing, vegetable farms and flower nurseries. It is a one and a half hour journey by car using Simpang Pulai route reaching the first town Kampung Raja. With a cool day temperature of 25C, a perfect highland getaway with chalets, apartments, hotels and home-stays available.

Welcome to the wedding of Shamini and Dishen, Sunday 30th June 2019. At the scenic Bala's Holiday Chalet. A pre-war tudor style chalet which used to be a school. With the colour theme of peach, mint green, gold and cream, the outdoor setting enables the combination of traditional Indian ceremony followed by luncheon.

Joining me for this event is Cindy. We drove up and reached Bala's at 7am. Set up the desserts, joined guests for coffee breakfast, followed by the traditional wedding ceremony, and lunch. All the while guarding the desserts from being eaten before the cake cutting session. The dessert table, consisting of a 3-tiered semi-naked cake with fresh flowers and 5 types of desserts was designed according to the colour theme.
